What a bad bad day would it be if your girlfriend leaves you for your best friend and also there is an alien invasion, right? Well, that’s what happens to this character Charlie here. After an airplane crash some people get locked into a storage rooms warehouse and they try to fight against a monster from outer space who isn’t precisely having the best of intentions.
The start point of the movie is something we have seen many times. It’s a good formula for low budget film with a very limited cast. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad movie, I found it above the average monster flicks we get bombed with nowadays. Although the plot is very simple, the movie manages to create a sane tension from the very first minutes until the end. Good actings, good direction, good editing… The music was a little bit boring and at some points was more annoying than helping the tension of the film, but it doesn’t get to hurt much the global result. The special effects were surprisingly good, and it has its generous doses of gore.
Although the movie is pretty enjoyable and quite well done, I give it the low rate of a mere 5 because it’s not very original, we have seen plenty of movies like this for the last decades.
Oh, and I liked the last scene, it made me want the movie to go on. That’s a good sign, isn’t it?
A perfect movie to watch when you want your little dose of horror sci-fi. Not even an hour and half of monsters, frights and guts.
My Rating: 5/10
