Do you know when a movie is sooo bad, so so bad, that you laugh hard? When you don’t know if they are the worst filmmakers ever and they made something horrible, or if they are comedy geniuses and they did an hillarious one. Well, this is what one should think about Aquanoids.
Bad plot, bad filming, bad acting, bad edition, bad sound, bad monster, bad EVERYTHING! One of those stories that have no sense at all. Watched one of those days that you don’t want to think much, your girlfriend goes to bed to read a book and you stay there dumped on the couch and start the movie. And you scream “this is not possible!!” every 5 minutes. You laugh, you have a facepalm festival, you freak out and curse the moment you decided to watch that movie, but you can’t stop watching it with a smile on your face. At the end of the movie, you call your very sleepy girlfriend and make her watch those 5 minutes in the middle of the film that made your world fell in pieces, the crappiest scene ever seen, at least not in the last years. And she turns at you and says “is this real? How can they release something like this?”. Because remember, somebody paid for this movie to be made! Somebody worked on it, somebody released it, and somebody is buying it! Me, for eample.
A plot you’ve seen many times. The guy loses his woman in a weird monster attack, but nobody believes him. Then, years later, the same attacks happen again, and he joins forces with pseudo-scientific environmental activist babes to make the truth see the daylight. But the bad bad guys in the power, mr big company and my politician, try to stop them in the most senseless ways.
You are warned, for the good and the bad. I would give this movie a rating of 0/10, but since I laughed and cursed, here come my 3 points. And the monster is awful.
