"Zero Contact": Five characters all over the world are connected during the pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to learn to keep in contact with our beloved ones through computer screens. Online meetings, something that was more common in office works became almost the only way to social interaction for many people that found themselves alone in isolation during the pandemic. So, it is normal that such strange and shocking times are the source for new productions, as we could see in Japanese science-fiction and comedy The 12 Day Tale of the Monster that Died in 8 (2020), which was part of the Fantasia Film Festival this year, or thriller Zero Contact (2021).

Zero Contact (2021) follows five characters based all over the world, connected only by their devotion to the late founder and tech titan Finley Hart (played by Anthony Hopkins). Forced to work together to shut down Hart’s most secret invention, a machine that is either the solution to mankind’s problems or the end of the Earth.

The movie was written by Cam Cannon, known for being the producer of action thrillers like Rage (2014), The Prince (2014), Misfire (2014), Heist (2015), or Speed Kills (2018). Rick Dugdale, the President and CEO of Enderby Entertainment, and producer of horror and thriller films like No Tell Motel (2013), A Haunting at Silver Falls (2013), Blood Shed (2013), Dawn Patrol (2014), Blackway (2015), or An Ordinary Man (2017), debuts here as a director.

Together with Anthony Hopkins, Aleks Paunovic, Tuva Novotny, Rukiya Bernard, Veronica Ferres, Adrian Holmes, Lilly Krug, Linda Darlow, Juliet Sorci, James C Burns, Chris Brochu, and Martin Stenmarck also star.

Zero Contact (2021) was shot in 17 countries filmed entirely virtually via Zoom and during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. It will be the first feature film to be released via Vuele, a non-fungible token platform, and it is set for release on September 24, 2021. Here you can watch the trailer for Zero Contact (2021).
