Wrestlers and zombies in “The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre”

Wrestlers and zombies in "The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre"

Now I don’t recall if this genre crossover has even been done before; probably yes, but I can’t get in my head any title fitting the description. But, let’s be honest, it kinda has sene, right? Did nobody think of mixing zombies with wrestlers before?

In The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre (2021), wrestling’s most hated tag team, The Manson Brothers, now in the twilight of their careers and relegated to doing smaller wrestling promotions, take a Midnight cage match on Halloween night, only to find themselves trapped in the arena with wrestlers and fans infected with a mutated rabies zombie virus. Armed only with their wrestling skills, and enchanted lucha libre masks, they must fight for their lives and ensure the virus is contained to prevent an all-out massacre and pandemic.

This extravaganza gory horror film has been directed by Max Martini, an actor with close to a hundred acting credits and that has been under the orders of top filmmakers including Paul Greengrass in Captain Phillips (2013), Guillermo del Toro in Pacific Rim (2013), David Ayer in Sabotage (2014), and Michael Bay in 13 Hours (2016), but since the last years is trying his luck behind the cameras having already directed the action drama SGT. Will Gardner (2019). Mike Carey and Chris Margetis, who incarnate The Manson Brothers, are the writers and executive producers of the film.

The main cast is completed with Randy Couture, David B. Meadows, D.B. Sweeney, Jayden Lund, Shannon Victoria Murray, Karen Corona, Jason Coviello, and Luis Bordonada.

The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre (2021) has been released on video on demand on September 10, 2021. And this won’t be the last time we see the infamous brothers because The Manson Brothers Satanic Vampire Death Match is already in development.
