If you are looking for an action movie starring a bunch of stars perhaps you should consider White Elephant (2022) on top of your list. And now we explain why.
The movie starts when an assassination attempt is witnessed by two cops. Gabriel Tancredi, an ex-marine enforcer must battle his conscience and code of honor when he is forced to do things for the mob when is ordered by his ruthless mob boss to eliminate any and all threats. With an eager underling out to prove himself, rival gangs making moves, and a rising body count, every step Tancredi makes threatens lives, including his own.
The main cast of the movie is formed by Michael Rooker, Bruce Willis, Olga Kurylenko, and John Malkovich. Lauren Buglioli, Josef Cannon, Ski Carr, Chris Cleveland, Vadhir Derbez, Marcus Lewis, and Michael Rose also star.
The movie is co-written and directed by Jesse V. Johnson, a former stunts artist who has been in popular productions like Total Recall (1990), Cutthroat Island (1995), Mars Attacks! (1996), Starship Troopers (1997), Planet of the Apes (2001), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), War of the Worlds (2005), Thor (2011), and The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). As a features director, he has been responsible for several action movies including The Butcher (2009), The Package (2012), Savage Dog (2017), Accident Man (2018), The Debt Collector (2018), Avengement (2019), The Mercenary (2019), and Debt Collectors (2020).
The screenplay has been written by the director Jesse V. Johnson together with Erik Martinez, and with additional dialogue by Katharine Lee McEwan.
