"Victor Crowley" will see the light on VoD and digital platforms February 6th

It came by surprise, and now it’s almost here. Next month, February the 6th, is when the movie Victor Crowley (2017) will finally see the light. The follow-up for the Hatchet trilogy will be available on VoD and digital platforms beginning February 6th from Dark Sky Films. Also, the Blu-Ray and DVD will be released that day for the American market.

The events for Victor Crowley (2017) are set to happen 10 years after what happened in the first trilogy. In the words of director and writer Adam Green for Entertainment Weekly, “The only survivor that was ever found was Parry Shen’s character, Andrew Yong. Now, ten years, later, he’s kind of become a little bit of a celebrity. At one point he’s compared to ‘the OJ Simpson of Honey Island Swamp’ because most people do not buy his story, but he got off because there was no evidence that he had done it. So, some people love him, a lot of people hate him, and now he’s written a book, which he is promoting on the tenth anniversary of the events of 2007. He is convinced to do one final interview back at the scene of the massacre, where he has never returned. Simultaneously to him going back there with this camera crew, that’s going to interview him, there is something else happening that brings back a little certain somebody“.

The movie had a small run in genre festivals this past year, being screened at FrightFest, Fantasy Filmfest or Toronto After Dark Film Festival among others. And the receiving has been more than positive! Regarding the possibility of a fifth installation for the Hatchet franchise, Adam Green replied “we have to see how this one does first. If there’s a demand for it, then who knows? I mean, at this point, anything could happen”.

Like in all the previous titles, Kane Hodder gets again on the skin of vicious murderer Victor Crowley. With him, Parry Shen, Laura Ortiz, Dave Sheridan, Krystal Joy Brown, Felissa Rose, Chase Williamson, Katie Booth, Tiffany Shepis and Brian Quinn complete the main cast.
