Adonis Complex (2019), also known as A Perfect Host in some markets, is a horror-thriller about a group of friends who rent an isolated lake house owned by a fitness-obsessed man with mysterious intentions. It is the debut feature film as a director of Chad Werner, who has also been the writer of the story together with Emily Hiott, one of the stars of the film.

More into details, the movie centers four friends who rent an isolated lake house for a weekend getaway. While the dramas of the friends’ relationships unfold, they are continually interrupted by the home’s owner: a health-obsessed bodybuilder named Tad. Throughout the group’s short stay, Tad’s seemingly affable gestures take an eerie and sinister twist, turning their dream vacation into a nightmare. Mystery entangles this tale that questions the blind acceptance of modern-day practices.

Jokingly called AirBnB horror, Adonis Complex (2019) is starred by Kasey Givens, Emily Hiott, Brady Burleson Johnson, Koko Marshall and Jon Michael Simpson. The movie was part of film festivals in the USA along 2019 like Cinequest and Dallas International Film Festival, and now it is scheduled for a DVD and Digital release on February 4th by Uncork’d Entertainment.
