Two strangers tell scary stories which come to life in "Scare Me"

Josh Ruben already had a quite extensive career as an actor, writer, and director of TV series and short films when he decided to make the jump to feature films. And the result, Scare Me (2020), can’t be better. A horror comedy simple but effective about two strangers tell scary stories that come to life during a power outage.

During a power outage, two strangers tell scary stories. The more Fred and Fanny commit to their tales, the more the stories come to life in their Catskills cabin. The horrors of reality manifest when Fred confronts his ultimate fear.

Besides being the writer, producer, and director of Scare Me (2020), Josh Ruben also plays one of the main roles. With him, Aya Cash, Rebecca Drysdale, Chris Redd, and Lauren Sick also star.

Scare Me (2020) had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2020. Before, Shudder acquired distribution rights to the film. It is scheduled to be released on October 1, 2020. Here you can watch the official trailer for the film.
