Two paramedics fight a new designer drug in "Synchronic"

Synchronic (2019) was one of those titles that has been in many film festivals since it had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2019. After that, they have been present in other festivals like Fantastic Fest, London Film Festival, Sitges Film Festival, Russian American Film Festival, Night Visions International Film Festival, Splat!FilmFest Horror Film Festival, Glasgow Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, or Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival alongside 2019 and 2020.

This thriller with a strong science-fiction and horror component centers two New Orleans paramedics whose lives are ripped apart after they encounter a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug with bizarre, otherworldly effects.

Synchronic (2019) has been written by Justin Benson, who has also directed it together with Aaron Moorhead. The are also are producers of the film. The two are the team who brought out the horror and science-fiction titles The Endless (2017) and Spring (2014).

The principal attraction for the movie is the presence of a big star like Anthony Mackie, a habitual in science-fiction flicks besides his most notorious participation in the Marvel Universe as Falcon. Together with him, Jamie Dornan, Katie Aselton, Ally Ioannides, Bill Oberst Jr., Natasha Tina Liu, Martin Bats Bradford, Devyn A. Tyler, and Lawrence Turner also star.
