Like it happens in real life, it doesn’t matter your story or your origins, at the end we all end up seeking refuge to be safe. But, let’s get a little bit more intense and focus on action movies because in science-fiction Armageddon Tales (2021) and horror-thriller Shadowland (2021) the protagonists will live very different adventures and threats but they all are in the move for salvation.
Armageddon Tales (2021) is a collection of 4 short films made by 4 different directors where in an apocalyptic world different people are after salvation. After surviving a worldwide pandemic, two men with different agendas, two women from a survival colony, and a young girl and a man each form alliances as they cross post-apocalyptic landscapes.
Alexander Lappöhn, Kaleb Lechowski, Paul Plett, and Jonah Schwartz are the producers, writers, and directors of this anthology that also includes an introduction segment written by Josh Guttman. Jeremy Dash, Sarah Groleau, Erin Hyndman, Fay Kelman, David Masterson, Manni L. Perez, Corey Rademaker, Meredith Rose, Jenna Sander, and Seumas F. Sargent for the main cast.

And, on the other side, in Shadowland (2021) they sought sanctuary, and they found him. An ex-serviceman is forced to seek refuge for his team and the family in their charge in rural Scotland, with devastating consequences.
The movie is the debut feature film of writer and director Simon Kay, here credited only as Simon. the main cast is formed by Amelia Eve, Rebecca Finch, Vivien Taylor, Stuart Daly, Tony Greengrass, Jason Harvey, Lily Cooper, Colin MacDougall, Keenan Ben, Susan Coyle, and David E Grimes.
