Liam Neeson is seeking revenge one more time. This time in the skin of a snowplow driver against the drug dealers he thinks killed his son. The movie is called Cold Pursuit (2019) and is the English language remake of Scandinavian film Kraftidioten (2014) (In order of Disappearance as the international title). In the original film, Stellan Skarsgård played the main role Nils Dickman, when in this Hollywood version Liam Neeson is Nels Coxman.
Norwegian filmmaker Hans Petter Moland was the director of the original film, and he has also directed this remake. Frank Baldwin has written the screenplay for Cold Pursuit (2019) based on the Kim Fupz Aakeson original script. Together with Liam Neeson, Laura Dern, Micheál Richardson, Michael Eklund, Bradley Stryker, Wesley MacInnes, Tom Bateman, Domenick Lombardozzi, Nicholas Holmes, Jim Shield, Aleks Paunovic, Benjamin Hollingsworth, John Doman and Emmy Rossum also star.
In Cold Pursuit (2019), Nels Coxman‘s quiet life as a snowplow driver in a glitzy Rocky Mountains resort town is disrupted when his son dies from a heroin overdose. Coxman is preparing to kill himself when he learns that his son was murdered by a drug cartel. He turns vigilante, killing several members of the cartel. The boss, named Viking, suspects that these deaths are the work of an American Indian drug cartel controlled by White Bull, with whom he has earlier avoided conflict. This sparks a bloody gang war, and Viking eventually learns that Coxman killed his men, and tries in vain to call off the gang war. Action is served.
Cold Pursuit (2019) is rated R for strong violence, drug material, and some language including sexual references. The movie is coming out this weekend and here you can watch the official trailer:
