Exorcism movies will have a new title to be added to the subgenre collection this October with Along Came the Devil 2 (2019). The movie is a sequel of Along Came the Devil (2018), that told the story of Ashley, a young woman that after a troubled childhood searches for a connection, and unknowingly invites in a demonic force, which leaves her loved ones fighting for her soul.
Jason DeVan repeats as the writer, producer and director of the movie. In the sequel, after receiving an unsettling voicemail, a young woman returns home, looking for answers, only to find her estranged father and even more questions. While in her old hometown she has visions of her deceased mom, driving her to contact the spirit world. A demonic force has attached itself to the town and no one is safe. The only one who seems to know anything is the small town’s Reverend.
Veteran Bruce Davison, known for playing Senator Kelly in the X-Men franchise, and who has also participated in Dahmer (2002), Insidious: The Last Key (2018), and Itsy Bitsy (2019), reprises his role as Reverend Michael. Heather DeVan, the wife of director Jason DeVan and co-producer of the film, is also back as Sarah Winbourne. Together with them, Laura Wiggins, Mark Ashworth, Cassius DeVan, Tiffany Fallon, and Kylie Delre complete the main cast.
Along Came the Devil 2 (2019) is scheduled to come out the 11th of October this year. Here you can watch its official trailer:
