To say that most of the population spend perhaps an excessive amount of time glued to their cellphones is not something new. Social media networks and all kinds of other apps are designed to create a technology addiction the new generations are already living as part of their regular days. So, I think it is fair to say that, somehow, mobile applications are controlling the way we live. But, what if they also controlled the way we die?

In Countdown (2019), when a nurse downloads an app that claims to predict the moment a person will die, it tells her she only has three days to live. With the clock ticking and a figure haunting her, she must find a way to save her life before time runs out.

This horror-thriller is the debut feature film of writer and director Justin Dec, after several short films. It is starred by Elizabeth Lail, Anne Winters, Charlie McDermott, Peter Facinelli, Talitha Eliana Bateman, Tom Segura, Jordan Calloway, Tichina Arnold, P.J. Byrne, Jeannie Elise Mai, Austin Zajur and Lana McKissack.

Countdown (2019) is scheduled to be released in October in most of the territories. Here you can watch its new trailer:
