Trailer: André Øvredal's new movie "Mortal" arrives in Norway next month

Norwegian writer and director André Øvredal is returning with his new project to his origins that blasted him in the list of most promising Scandinavian horror filmmakers thanks to his debut feature film, the essential Trollhunter (2010). After that, he embarked on a Hollywood adventure that resulted in two remarkable films, The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) and Guillermo del Toro produced Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019). His upcoming movie is a fantasy and adventure title that mixes mystery with ancient Norwegian mythology.

Entitled Mortal (2020), not much is known about the plot for the film. it stars Nat Wolff, Priyanka Bose, Arthur Hakalahti, Iben Akerlie, Ravdeep Singh Bajwa, Per Egil Aske, Oddrun Valestrand, Ania Nova and Martin Grid Toennesen, and it centers a young man discovering he has God-like powers based on ancient Norwegian mythology.

André Øvredal has also been the author of the screenplay together with Norman Lesperance, who was also the writer of crime thriller Looking for Lions (2014).

Mortal (2020) is scheduled to come out on 28 February 2020 in Norway, and plans for an international release have not been confirmed yet. Here you can find the first trailer for the movie, in original Norwagian and English languages:
