Three firefighters must save New Orleans from a shark attack in Tommy Wiseau's "Big Shark"

Tommy Wiseau became a big name in the underground cinema with his debut feature film, the instant cult film The Room (2003), considered one of the worst movies ever made, which he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in. 20 years later, history might repeat itself with the release of his second feature film, Big Shark (2023).

Again written, produced, directed, and starring Tommy Wiseau, the movie is a horror drama where three firefighters, Georgie, Tim, and Patrick, must save New Orleans from a killer shark.

Greg Sestero, considered by Wiseau his best friend and frequent collaborator in their mutual projects, also stars in a cast that also includes Isaiah LaBorde, Erica Mary Gillheeney, Ashton Leigh, Hannah Mouton, Joseph Poliquin, Mark Valeriano, and Kaleb Naquin.

Although Tommy Wiseau’s only feature film to date behind the cameras was 20 years ago, he has been active in the entertainment industry having acted in the movies Cold Moon (2016), Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance (2015), Best F(r)iends: Volume 1 (2017) and Best F(r)iends Volume Two (2018), as well as being the creator and star of the comedy TV series The Neighbors (2014–), directing the short documentary Homeless in America (2004), and participating together with Greg Sestero in the James Franco-directed biography movie The Disaster Artist (2017) about the conceiving of the movie The Room (2003).

Big Shark (2023) is set to release in August 2023 in New York City. The film was scheduled to have its world premiere at the Prince Charles Cinema in September 2019 but was delayed.

The first official trailer for Big Shark (2023) has been released on the official Tommy Wiseau YouTube channel and it also includes an advert for his underwear designs available to purchase on his website www.tommywiseau.com. Watch it here.
