The Abomination (1986) and Repligator (1998), two classics for the horror section of the video clubs from the 1980s and the 1990s, are seeing this month a release on Blu-ray with lots of extras and bonus features by the hand of Visual Vengeance.
The Abomination (1986) is a gory horror film that tells the story of an old woman who coughs up what she believes to be a tumor. While asleep, the thing crawls inside of her son and reproduces inside him, then causes him to go on a killing spree to feed it.
The cast for the movie consists of Scott Davis, Jude Johnson, Blue Thompson, Brad McCormick, Suzy Meyer, and Rex Morton.

On the other side, Repligator (1998) is a fantasy and science-fiction comedy about a top-secret military facility where a group of scientists and army brass work on the “The Replicator Project” which quickly goes awry when it turns all the male soldiers into gorgeous, scantily clad nymphets, who then morph into alligators when they reach the peak of sexual excitement. One of the most screwball, brain-melting late 90s direct-to-video entries ever made.
Gunnar Hansen, Keith Kjornes, Randy Clower, TJ Myers, Carl Merritt, Brinke Stevens, Alan York, Rocky Patterson, Tyler Mason, James Michael Taylor, Grady Niblo, and T.G. Weems were the stars in this crazy film.

Both films were produced, written, and directed by Bret McCormick, a filmmaker also responsible for Tabloid (1989), Highway to Hell (1990), Armed for Action (1992), Blood on the Badge (1992), Children of Dracula (1994), Bio-Tech Warrior (1996), Rumble in the Streets (1997), Time Tracers (1997), and The Protector (1998). The Abomination (1986) was his debut feature film and Repligator (1998), co-written by Keith Kjornes, T.G. Weems, and Wynn Winberg, was his last fiction feature.
Both Blu-ray Collector’s Edition will be launched on September 29, 2023, and will include SD master from original master tapes, limited Edition Slipcase, commentary with director Bret McCormick, interviews with the cast, and more.
