I apologize for the lame pun, but the trailer for the supernatural horror movie is truly The Unsettling (2022)! That house seems to be alive and the images and scares shown in this preview are as disturbing as exciting. This could be a good one.
The movie centers on Abena and Kwame, a Ghanaian couple who are struggling to recover from a devastating tragedy. They travel to Los Angeles for a vacation that they hope will help them find their way back to one another. Instead, during an awkward dinner with estranged friends, Vivian and Anthony, Abena is increasingly terrorized by an evil possessing the house. The house that was meant to provide refuge slowly stalks her, consuming her sorrow and trapping her in a nightmare. As her terror grows, it ultimately engulfs all four with horrifying consequences.
This is the debut feature film of the writer, producer, and director Harry Owens after a few short films.
The main cast for the movie is formed by Zephani Idoko, Bambadjan Bamba, Libby Munro, Benedikt Sebastian, and Chloë Caro.
The Unsettling (2022) has been part of the Chattanooga Film Festival, Cine-Excess, Virtual CFF, New York City Horror Film Festival, and A Night of Horror. Now, it is set for a limited theatrical release and is coming out on digital on February 10, 2023, by Dark Sky Films.
