The Unheard (2023) is one of the new productions that are going to see the light on Shudder before the end of March. This is a supernatural horror mystery with a dramatic background.
The movie centers on 20-year-old Chloe Grayden who after undergoing an experimental procedure to restore her damaged hearing returns to her family’s former Cape Cod vacation home and begins to suffer from auditory hallucinations seemingly related to the mysterious disappearance of her mother.
This is the second feature film as the director by Jeffrey A. Brown after his mystery horror debut The Beach House (2019). The screenplay has been written by Michael Rasmussen and Shawn Rasmussen, who have also been responsible for the texts for John Carpenter’s The Ward (2010), Alexandre Aja’s Crawl (2019), and Dark Feed (2013) and The Inhabitants (2015) which they also directed.
Lachlan Watson, Michele Hicks, Brendan Meyer, Nick Sandow, Shunori Ramanathan, and Boyana Balta are the main stars in The Unheard (2023).
The movie is scheduled to become part of the Shudder streaming catalog on March 31, 2023. Watch its official trailer.
