The Passenger (2023) is a horror thriller centering on a man who is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past. He must find a way to survive when his co-worker snaps and goes on a violent killing spree.
Randy is perfectly content fading into the background. But when his coworker Benson goes on a sudden and violent rampage leaving a trail of destruction in his wake, Randy is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past to survive.
Carter Smith, a filmmaker known for being responsible for the popular horror titles The Ruins (2008) and Swallowed (2022), and winner of the Short Filmmaking Award at the Sundance Film Festival for Bugcrush (2006) is the director of The Passenger (2023). Jack Stanley, the writer for the Netflix action adventure Lou (2022), has been responsible for the screenplay.
Kyle Gallner (Scream (2022), Smile (2022)) and Johnny Berchtold (The Forbidden Wish (2021), Dog Gone (2023)) are the main stars in a cast that also includes Liza Weil, Billy Slaughter, Morgana Shaw, Sue Rock, Merah Benoit, Kanesha Washington, Matthew Laureano, and Jordan Sherley.
Blumhouse Productions is behind the movie and it is scheduled to be released on August 4, 2023, on Blumhouse Television and Epix.
