The nightmares of a gruesome murder are back this Christmas in horror comedy "The Mean One"

The Mean One (2022) is something more than a Grinch parody. It also has its own silly ideas and exciting setup. The filmmakers thought were more into focusing on the fun and the comedic side of the story, so let’s see what we have in sight here.

The movie is set in a sleepy mountain town, where Cindy’s parents were murdered and her Christmas is stolen by a bloodthirsty green figure in a red Santa suit, The Mean One. But when the ravenous, Christmas-hating creature begins to terrorize the town again and threatens to ruin the holiday, she finds a new purpose: trapping and killing the monster. The classic serial killer or terrifying creature flick setup we’ve seen many times but with the little touch and inspiration of the 1957 children’s book How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Steven LaMorte, the man behind a bunch of award-winners features and short B-movies like Never Leave Alive (2017), Trials of Ember (2018), or Bury Me Twice (2022), is behind the cameras in The Mean One (2022). Finn Kobler and Flip Kobler have been in charge of the screenplay.

The main cast in The Mean One (2022) is formed by Krystle Martin, Chase Mullins, Amy Schumacher, John Bigham, Erik Baker, and David Howard Thornton, popular for his performance of the murderous clown in Terrifier (2016) and its recent sequel Terrifier 2 (2022), playing the Grinch-like creature of the title.

The Mean One (2022) is having a limited release in selected theaters on December 8, 2022, and later will come out on digital platforms on the 15th. Watch here its official trailer.
