Are you tired of shark flicks? NEVER! Either silly or serious one, it seems like this marine killers subgenre is in the hype. And especially after the astonishing results achieved this August with what should already be called the movie of the summer, The Meg (2018). Now it’s the time to put an end to a saga that from its conceptual ridiculousness it became an instant classic since the first movie arose into the surface back in 2013. Yes, I am talking about Sharknado.
Because yesterday for the American network and today for the European, Video on Demand platforms already have the last entry of the saga available: The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time (2018). This production of Syfy and The Asylum has everything from the early movies and more. In it, Fin, the hero of the series, has to go back in time to rejoin his shark-battling friends to stop the first Sharknado and save humanity. Dinosaurs, templars, Nazis and biblical characters take presence in this insane fantasy, comedy, science-fiction and horror cocktail.
The movie is directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, the mastermind of the saga. Scotty Mullen, who already wrote the previous Sharknado film Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017), repeats as the author of the screenplay. And some old and new faces in the cast. Tara Reid, Vivica A. Fox, Cassandra Scerbo, Tori Spelling, Jonathan Bennett, Dean McDermott, Judah Friedlander, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Dee Snider and Ian Ziering as the hero Fin Shepard are the main names starring the movie.
For those who haven’t seen any Sharknado movie, that I assume are going to be a minority, here is the trailer for this The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time (2018). See what you are missing and be ashamed!
