The horrors of a honeymoon in pandemic times in Shelter in Place
Tatjana Marjanovic in Shelter in Place (2021)

The COVID-19 pandemic, what a joke. And we’re not over it yet, if we can ever totally be. How life as we knew it seems to be gone. Still, some people didn’t want to stop their celebrations, like weddings, for example, and in one way or another they carried on with their schedules. And that’s what the protagonists of Shelter in Place (2021) had to deal with, a honeymoon during pandemic times. Only that things went even worse than they anticipated.

And, as the official plot says:

When a global pandemic limits the possibility of travel, a honeymooning couple gets stranded at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel where a skeleton staff of two employees tends to them. When tensions escalate amidst a forced lockdown, it becomes apparent there is more to fear at the storied hotel than just cabin fever.

This horror thriller is the debut feature film of the writers and directors Chris Beyrooty and Connor Martin, who had experience in a different terrain having taken part of the crew in some episodes of comedy TV shows Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2003–), The Ellen DeGeneres Show (2003–2021), The Kelly Clarkson Show (2019–), and Saturday Night Live (1975–).

Shelter in Place (2021) is starring Brendan Hines, Tatjana Marjanovic, Ola Kaminska, Kevin Daniels, and Jey Reynolds.

The movie is available online on platforms like iTunes, AppleTV, Amazon Prime Video, or VUDU. Watch here the official trailer for Shelter in Place (2021).
