The Firefly Family is back in the first full trailer of Rob Zombie's "3 From Hell"

Although he is a man that arouses sympathy, Rob Zombie’s movies are not always beloved 100% by horror fans. Personally, myself, besides the immense and unbeatable nightmare that The Lords of Salem (2012), I don’t care much of the rest of his filmography. An excellent cinematographist and soundtracks maker, with very interesting set-ups, but the movies always lack some punch to me, they are not special. And mark this as a personal opinion, of course. Still, there is something unquestionable, and it’s that every new title that the musician and filmmaker brings to surface always becomes a must-see. Especially when it’s the case of 3 From Hell (2019), the third part of the trilogy after House of 1000 Corpses (2003) and The Devil’s Rejects (2005).

Not much has been shared about the plot of the movie, but knowing the previous films and seeing that the main core of fucked-up characters from the series of films is back, the Fireflies are going to leave a trail of corpses on their back in a new tempestuous and bloody violent rampage. Baby Firefly, Captain Spaulding and Otis Firefly are about to get dirty again. The homage to 70s and 80s horror movies, with a clear reference in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), is present in this new title as well.

Like the other movies of trilogy, Rob Zombie has written the screenplay and story and is behind the cameras. A good bunch of actors, mostly habitual in Zombie’s filmography, are starring in this new film. Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Richard Brake, Emilio Rivera, Danny Trejo, Clint Howard, Daniel Roebuck, Jeff Daniel Phillips, David Ury, Dee Wallace, Dot-Marie Jones, Sean Whalen, Tom Papa, Pancho Moler, Kevin Jackson, Richard Riehle and Austin Stoker form the main cast.

The first official trailer, with plenty of never seen before footage, is dirty, very dirty. And bloody. And tense, and disgusting. It brings everything one could desire in a Rob Zombie movie, especially if it forms part of the Devil’s Rejects Trilogy. After a trailer like this, I can only say 3 From Hell (2019) is one of the movies I’m looking forward to seeing the most this year. And that is well accomplished. I just hope the movie stands its expectations! But it deserves the chance.

3 From Hell (2019) has been rated R for strong sadistic violence, language throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use. Of course, it has. Filming began on March 13, 2018, and wrapped on April 10, 2018. The movie is scheduled to open the 31st of October, but it will have a limited theatrical release on September 16, 17 and 18, 2019. Now, enjoy the 3 From Hell (2019):
