Not even a global pandemic can stop director Steven Soderbergh from being one of the most active filmmakers in Hollywood. For the last 5 years, he has been releasing a feature film annually, and always keeping up with the quality and freshness his works are flag bearers. Following Logan Lucky (2017), Unsane (2018), The Laundromat (2019), Let Them All Talk (2020), and No Sudden Move (2021), this year will see the release of crime and thriller Kimi (2022).

In the movie, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Seattle, an agoraphobic tech worker discovers evidence of a violent crime while reviewing a data stream, and is met with resistance and bureaucracy when she tries reporting it to her company. To get involved, she realizes she must face her greatest fear by venturing out of her apartment and into the city streets, which are filled with protestors after the city council passes a law restricting the movements of the homeless population.

With Steven Soderbergh directing, film and TV writer David Koepp, known for being behind the screenplays of Apartment Zero (1988), Death Becomes Her (1992), Jurassic Park (1993), Carlito’s Way (1993), Mission: Impossible (1996), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Snake Eyes (1998), Stir of Echoes (1999), Panic Room (2002), Spider-Man (2002), Secret Window (2004), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), Angels & Demons (2009), Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014), Inferno (2016), and The Mummy (2017) has been the writer of thriller Kimi (2022).

Zoë Kravitz is making another huge step to make a name of herself away from the shadows of her celebrity parents Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet leading the cast of Kimi (2022) after being participated in other popular films like Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), X-Men: First Class (2011), Divergent (2014), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), and her role of Selina Kyle / Catwoman in the upcoming The Batman (2022). Rita Wilson, India de Beaufort, Emily Kuroda, Byron Bowers, Jaime Camil, Jacob Vargas, Derek DelGaudio, Erika Christensen, Devin Ratray, Andy Daly, Robin Givens, and Charles Halford complete the main cast.

Kimi (2022) is Rated R for violence, language, and brief sexuality/nudity. The movie is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema and is scheduled to be released on February 10, 2022, on streaming service HBO Max. Wach here its official trailer.
