In a late-night radio show hosted by DJ Candy, callers share “real” horror stories, but one caller becomes a little overly obsessed.
The horror anthology Nightmare Radio: The Night Stalker (2022) has segments from the directors Lorcan Finnegan (Without Name (2016), Vivarium (2019), Nocebo (2022)), Nathan Crooker (Charlotte The Return (2019)), Carlos Goitia (Asylum: Twisted Horror and Fantasy Tales (2020)), Mia Kate Russell (ABCs of Death 2.5 (2016) and the award-winner short films Maggie May (2018) and Liz Drives (2017)), Ryan J. Thompson (special effects awards-winner for The Dark Tapes (2016)), David M. Night Maire (the producer of the award-winner short films Chateau Sauvignon: terroir (2015), The Hobbyist (2016), and The Call of Water (2022)), and Adam O’Brien (Zombieworld (2015), A Night of Horror: Nightmare Radio (2019), The Source of Shadows (2020)).
In the movie, Candy is a late-night radio DJ with a program where people call to tell her real horror stories. One of her listeners begins to call her insistently. Candy quickly discovers that there is a strange connection between them. Soon she will find out how far an obsessed fan is willing to go.
Taz Pereyra, the writer of The Devil’s Tail (2021), and Camilo Zaffora, the writer of What the Waters Left Behind: Scars (2022), have been in charge of the screenplay for Nightmare Radio: The Night Stalker (2022).
The cast for the movie is formed by Paula Brasca, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Pooya Mohseni, Christopher Kirby, and Agustin Olcese.
Produced by Black Mandala, Trinity Creative Partnership and Reel2Reel have the distribution rights for the film which is available on digital and Video on Demand from April 18, 2023.
