Horror-thriller Welcome Home (2020) was released on November 6, 2020, via Sony Liv and since then it has achieved many positive opinions calling it one of the most unsetting movies of 2020, or even categorizing it as an instant classic. It has even been compared with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) due to the disturbance of the characters, except for the chainsaws and the rusty tools. And what most of the viewers have praised is the quality of the performances, the sharpness of the story, and the sobriety of the direction. A family with twisted secrets living in an isolated house can never bring anything peaceful, not beautiful.
Out for a simple task assigned by their jobs, Anuja and Neha find themselves being held hostage by a family of violent psychos living alone in the middle of nowhere. With escape not an option as they try and fail again and again, there is only one way ahead, kill or die trying.
This Indian production has been directed by Pushkar Mahabal, which marks his debut feature film after an extended career in front of television projects. Ankita Narang has been in charge of the screenplay. Both of them also are producers of the movie.
Kashmira Irani, Swarda Thigle, Shashi Bhushan, Boloram Das, Tina Bhatia, Akshita Arora, Siddhesh Wanikar, and Swapnil Abhyankar form the main cast for Welcome Home (2020).
