The Haunting of Hell Hole Mine (2023) is a horror western centering on a man who must rescue his niece from insanity must confronting the dark spirit trapped in their ancestral gold mine.
Inside an abandoned gold mine lurks a mysterious supernatural being conjured by a Native-American shaman ages ago to defend their tribe. This legendary phantom can appear in the flesh and pose as anyone. Luke’s old west ancestors trapped it in the mine, but it has haunted their descendants ever since, causing them to go insane. Now Luke’s niece, Poni, has come down with “the family curse.” He believes that with the proper psychiatric treatment, she can live a normal life but he needs to urgently make money for the costly medication. With the help of a couple of friends, Luke ventures out to the deserted western mine to try his luck. As he discovers the ghost stories are true, he realizes that he must confront the evil spirit before it takes over his mind.
The movie has been directed by Paul Collett, also playing the central role of Luke, and Tammy Massa, who also plays a supporting role. Collett has also been the writer of the screenplay together with Robbie Trujillo.
