The Midwife (2021) is a supernatural horror movie centering on a desperate woman who tries to make sense of the strange occurrences bringing chaos to her young family. Things take a turn when the midwife pays a visit.
In the movie, suffering a mental collapse after a miscarriage, the young woman must figure out if the unrested spirit of her dead child haunting the property is the cause of the distress or are the demons closer to home.
This is the debut feature film as producers and directors of Ryan Gage, an actor known for incarnating Alfrid in The Hobbit saga and being part of serial-killer thriller Angel of Decay (2016), and Marta Baidek, a visual effects artist who has taken part in popular titles like Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), Alien: Covenant (2017), Ready Player One (2018), Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), and Black Widow (2021).
The main cast for The Midwife (2021) is formed by Lara Goodison, Jeremy Joyce, Christos Lawton, William McGeough, Ellie Morris, Adeline Waby, and Tiffany Ceri.
