Eli (2019) is an upcoming American horror film centering a boy receiving treatment for his auto-immune disorder only to discover that the house he’s staying in is not as safe as he thought. The secluded clinic where little Eli and his family move into becomes a haunted prison with no way out. Unable to leave, Eli soon suspects that the house, and the doctor who runs it, are more sinister than they appear.

Ciarán Foy, director of horror films Citadel (2012) and Sinister 2 (2015), has been behind the cameras in Eli (2019). The screenplay was penned by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing, writers of The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), together with David Chirchirillo. Kelly Reilly, Sadie Sink, Lili Taylor, Max Martini, Charlie Shotwell, Jared Bankens, Parker Lovein, Katia Gomez, Deneen Tyler, and Austin Foxx form the main cast.

Broad Green Pictures, Intrepid Pictures, and Bellevue Productions have been responsible for producing the movie. Principal photography began in January 2018. In October 2017, Paramount Players acquired distribution rights to the film and set it for a January 4, 2019 release. However, Netflix acquired distribution rights to the film from Paramount, when the studio reportedly couldn’t figure out how to market the film. The final international release date by the popular streaming service is set on October 18, 2019.
