South Korean horror-thriller "The 8th Night" comes out on Netflix in July

Netflix Asia keeps doing a good job bringing out those dark productions the popular streaming company is so fond of. In addition to a very decent collection of Indonesian and Indian films, they have scheduled to add soon the horror-thriller The 8th Night (2021).

The movie centers on a monk who hunts down a millennia-old entity that’s possessing humans and unleashing hell on Earth with prayer beads in one hand and an ax in the other. The ancient spirit is freed and leaves a trail of murders in its path. With just 8 days to prevent all hell from breaking loose, a retired exorcist, a young monk, and a detective risk their lives to stop its resurrection once and for all.

This is the debut feature film of Tae-Hyung Kim.

The main cast is starred by Rich Ting, a stunt artist and actor born in the USA who has participated in titles like Salt (2010) alongside Angelina Jolie, Lone Survivor (2013) together with Mark Wahlberg, and the TV series Warrior (2019– ). Kim Yoo-Jeong, Park Hae-Joon, Nam Da-Reum, Sung-min Lee, Choi Jin-ho, and Dong-yeong Kim complete the main cast.

The 8th Night (2021) will be part of the Netflix Originals catalog on July 2, 2021. Here you can watch its official trailer.
