It’s been already a while since the tandem formed by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright shook up british cinema with the horror comedy Shaun of the Dead (2004). The actors and director were unknown names for the big public but suddently they became of popular domain. The formula worked so well that they did two other movies in what they baptized “The Cornetto Trilogy”, Hot Fuzz (2007) and The World’s End (2013). A gory zombie flick, a cops action thriller and a science fiction stravaganza, all showered with fresh sense of comedy, the personality and the characters played by Pegg and Frost, and the always effective hand of Wright to direct and edit almost perfect movies.
