Rene Perez is one of those filmmakers who has made himself a solid career being the director, cinematographer, editor, and writer of a bunch of straight-to-video horror releases. With over 20 titles in the last decade, he has been responsible for movies like The Snow Queen (2013), The Dead the Damned and the Darkness (2014), The Burning Dead (2015), Death Kiss (2018), Alien Showdown: The Day the Old West Stood Still (2018), The Dragon Unleashed (2018), Once Upon a Time in Deadwood (2019), and Cabal (2020), only to name a few. He was also behind Playing with Dolls: Havoc (2017), about a serial killer named Havoc who escapes from his prison and descends upon unsuspecting lovers in their cabin getaway. Of course, with horrific results. And, now, they are back with its sequel, Cry Havoc (2020).
In Cry Havoc (2020), an ambitious reporter is given an exclusive interview with one of the FBI’s Most Wanted. She travels to a secret compound to meet the wealthy Voyeur who is suspected of having paid to secure the release of the psychotic serial killer known only as Havoc. A rogue police officer will take on the serial killer who murders at call. Robert Bronzi, the popular Charles Bronson lookalike and frequent collaborator with director Rene Perez, incarnates the vegeanceful cop. J.D. Angstadt, Emily Sweet, and Richard Tyson complete the main cast.
Cry Havoc (2020) is scheduled to be out on Video on Demand on May 5th, 2020, via Midnight Releasing. Here you can find the official trailer for the movie:
