[Second trailer] Simulated reality and demons in Neill Blomkamp’s "Demonic", out in August

After seeing the first trailer for Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming horror film Demonic (2021) we already saw that this was going to be a truly scary experience. But with the second trailer, we are digging more into the plot and the origins of the conflict, and we see experimental high technology take an important part in what the movie protagonist is going to get through.

In the movie, a young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother and daughter are ruthlessly revealed. “The film uses a patent-pending new method of using volumetric capture (a three-dimensional video technology that turns actors into geometric objects). The amount of volumetric capture in Demonic (2021) is the most ever seen in a feature film”, has stated the production official sources.

Neill Blomkamp writes, produces, and directs Demonic (2021), his first full-horror movie after his more science-fiction oriented films District 9 (2009), Elysium (2013), and Chappie (2015). Carly Pope, Terry Chen, Nathalie Boltt, Chris William Martin, and Michael J Rogers star.

Demonic (2021) is Rated R for language, some violence, and bloody images. It had its premiere at the 71st Berlinale, Berlin International Film Festival in March 2021. FC Films has the distribution rights and has scheduled the film for a theatrical release on August 20, 2021, in the USA and UK, and on video on demand a week later on August 27, 2021.
