This weekend, the people from Bloody Disgusting have published in their official YouTube channel the second trailer for Pascal Laugier’s new movie Ghostland (2018) (called initially Incident in a Ghost Land). The movie follows a mother of two who inherits a home from her Aunt. On the first night in the new home she is confronted with murderous intruders and fights for her daughters’ lives. When the girls suffer this terrible childhood trauma, their disparate personalities diverge even further. One becomes a famous horror author, with a perfect family and life in Los Angeles, while the other can’t cope, and loses her mind. The movie takes place 16 years later when the daughters reunite at the house, and that’s when things get strange.
Ghostland (2018) premiered in February at the Gerardmer Fantasy Film Festival, where it achieved the Best Film award. Although it is scheduled to open in many worldwide territories next month, it’s already been released in France.
The movie is starred by Crystal Reed, Anastasia Phillips, Mylène Farmer, Taylor Hickson, Emilia Jones, Rob Archer, Suzanne Pringle, Adam Hurtig, Alicia Johnston, Ernesto Griffith, Erik Athavale, Kevin Power, Paul Titley and Terry Ray.
