A couple of months before the film starts to hit theatres, today Sony Pictures Entertainment has released today its second international trailer. In Flatliners (2017), five medical students, obsessed by the mystery of what lies beyond the confines of life, embark on a daring and dangerous experiment: by stopping their hearts for short periods of time, each triggers a near-death experience, giving them a firsthand account of the afterlife. But as their experiments become increasingly dangerous, they are each haunted by the sins of their pasts, brought on by the paranormal consequences of trespassing to the other side.
The movie is a follow up for Flatliners (1990), a science fiction thriller with good doses of horror that questioned what happens after you die and where are the limits and ethics of modern medicine. The movie is starred by Nina Dobrev, Ellen Page, Diego Luna and Kiersey Clemons, only Kiefer Sutherland reprising his original role. Ben Ripley is the author of this new adaptation and Niels Arden Oplev directs.
The movie will be released around the world the last weekend of September. In countries like Germany, Italy or France, the waiting must take a little longer since it comes out the 22nd of November.
