The fans of space quest adventures such as the Star Wars and Star Trek sagas have a new title to add to their list. Uncork’d Entertainment has achieved the distribution rights of Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar (2023) and the release is imminent.
The film concerns a father-daughter team of space scavengers who must race against a band of evil mercenaries to reach the legendary treasures on board a lost mythical freighter. Their quest will force them to navigate a universe filled with giant monsters, aliens, robots, and a mortal enemy seeking vengeance.
Garo Setian, an awards-winner film editor, producer, writer, and director who got some underground recognition with his debut feature film Automation (2019), is the director of Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar (2023) from a screenplay he wrote in collaboration with Joe Knetter (Strip Club Slasher (2010), Blind (2019), Pretty Boy (2021), Nutcracker Massacre (2022)).
Michael Paré, Olivier Gruner, Sarah French, Tyler Gallant, Rachele Brooke Smith, Sadie Katz, Anahit Setian, Jed Rowen, Elise Muller, Wes Hubbard, Miranda Cover, and Jean Heathen star in Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar (2023).
The movie has achieved several winnings at festivals like Hollywood Gold Awards, Zed Fest Film Festival, and Hollywood Independent Filmmaker Awards and Festival including Best Film and Best Actors.
Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar (2023) is opening in selected cinemas today April 21, 2023, and will be available on digital platforms on May 2, 2023. Watch its official trailer here.
