Science-fiction "Ultrasound" is out next month by Magnolia Pictures

The science-fiction movie Ultrasound (2021) was one of the surprises in the genre from last year. Critically acclaimed as ingenious and unexpected, the film contains endlessly twisty surprises. So we are lucky to know it is going to be available on multiple digital platforms next month.

The plot of the movie has been kept in secret to preserve the multiple surprises of the story, but we know it centers on a man called Glen who after his car breaks down spends one hell of an odd night with a married couple, setting into motion a chain of events that alter their lives plus those of several random strangers.

This is the debut feature film of Rob Schroeder, who has achieved big recognition of being the producer and director of some episodes of the Variety Studio series Actors on Actors (2014– ). He has also been the producer of Uncle Kent 2 (2015), Sun Choke (2015), Beyond the Gates (2016), and the horror anthology Holidays (2016). Conor Stechschulte was the writer of Ultrasound (2021).

Vincent Kartheiser, Chelsea Lopez, Breeda Wool, Tunde Adebimpe, Rainey Qualley, Bob Stephenson, Dana Lyn Baron, Jim Boeven, Chris Dougherty, Porter Duong, Tony Evangelista, Davida Williams, and Mark Burnham, who incarnates Leatherface in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) movie, form the main cast for Ultrasound (2021).

The movie has been present at the Tribeca Film Festival, and it was nominated for the Audience Award for Best European / North-South American Feature at the Fantasia Film Festival in 2021.
