Bruce Willis is back with another product fitting his action-star persona, and this time he is together with another emerging performer that with firm steps has made himself a name in the high-octane film industry, Frank Grillo. This time, they are a group of soldiers that must launch a preemptive strike against a newly discovered alien civilization in the hopes of ending an interstellar war before it starts.
Cosmic Sin (2021) is set in the year 2524. Four centuries after humans started colonizing the outer planets, retired Gen. James Ford gets called back into service after a hostile alien fleet attacks soldiers on a remote planet. The threat against mankind soon escalates into an interstellar war as Ford and a team of elite soldiers try to stop the imminent attack before it’s too late.
Edward Drake, the writer of another recent Bruce Willis space action epic Breach (2020), and also writer and director of fantasy-horror Broil (2020), has been in charge of directing Cosmic Sin (2021). He has co-written the screenplay for the movie together with his frequent collaborator and actor Corey Large.
Besides Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo playing the leads, and a supporting role of co-writer Corey Large, professional wrestler C.J. Perry, Brandon Thomas Lee, Perrey Reeves, Lochlyn Munro, Costas Mandylor, Eva De Dominici, Adelaide Kane, and Sarah May Sommers complete the main cast.
Cosmic Sin (2021) is Rated R for language including some sexual references, and violence. The movie is distributed by Saban Films in the USA and Paramount Pictures in the rest of the world. Today March 12 it is coming out in limited theaters and on digital platforms. Watch here the final official trailer.
