Maybe lately the one domestic armed conflict more in vogue of the media is that pathetic assault of the US Capitol a few days ago. But that shouldn’t blur one of the biggest epidemics modern society is infected with, mainly in the USA but also worldwide, which is school shootings.

In Run Hide Fight (2020), 17-year-old Zoe Hull uses her wits, survival skills, and compassion to fight for her life, and those of her fellow classmates, against a group of live-streaming school shooters. Some sort of a teenage female John McClane from the original Die Hard (1988) film, as many of the viewers have stated. The movie has also been quoted as a mix between the Hunger Games saga with Gus Van Sant’s Elephant (2003).

The movie has been written and directed by Kyle Rankin, an awards-winner filmmaker responsible for titles like Infestation (2009), Nuclear Family (2012), Night of the Living Deb (2015), and The Witch Files (2018). Two popular faces in horror and action movies like Thomas Jane and Radha Mitchell head the main cast together with Isabel May playing the hero of the story, Eli Brown, Olly Sholotan, Cyrus Arnold, April McCullough, Britton Sear, Carlton Caudle, Catherine Davis, the always essential Barbara Crampton, and Treat Williams playing the local sheriff.

Run Hide Fight (2020) had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September 2020. It was also part of the line-up of the Stockholm International Film Festival in Sweden. Since last week it is available on the official The Daily Wire channel. Here you can watch its trailer.
