Always very active in his social networks, Rob Zombie spoiled the fans by sharing multiple images of the footage, the shooting, and the locations, as well as any new additions to the cast, alongside the entire filming process of his adaptation of the popular TV series The Munsters (1964–1966).
And as Zombie mentions, “it’s been 58 years since this clash of the titans first happened”. Netflix’s Wednesday (2022– ) TV series is an adaptation and spin-off of family-oriented horror comedy The Addams Family (1964–1966) but this time based on the daughter of the family Wednesday Addams, this time as an adult. Christina Ricci reprises the role that already played in the first movie adaptations of the series, The Addams Family (1991), and its sequel Addams Family Values (1993).
Tim Burton is the executive producer and director of the Wednesday (2022– ) TV series with a cast that, alongside Christina Ricci, is formed by Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jamie McShane, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Thora Birch, Riki Lindhome, Joy Sunday, Gwendoline Christie, and Percy Hynes White.
Rob Zombie’s The Munsters (2022) is quoted as “the strangest love story ever told “ and it follows a family of monsters who moves from Transylvania to an American suburb. Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster lead the main cast that also includes Cassandra Peterson, Butch Patrick, Dee Wallace, Pat Priest, Jorge Garcia, Richard Brake, Catherine Schell, and Sylvester McCoy.
Universal Pictures shared last week the latest official trailer for The Munsters (2022) and you can watch it here.
