She is one of the most loved performers in the horror industry of the last decades. An icon of the 1980s, thanks to her participation in titles like Re-Animator (1985), From Beyond (1986), or Castle Freak (1995), her career was reborn with You’re Next (2011), which was followed by The Lords of Salem (2012), We Are Still Here (2015), Beyond the Gates (2016), and the list is enlarging every season. She is Barbara Crampton, and Reborn (2018) is one of her latest works.
In the movie, a stillborn baby girl is abducted by a morgue attendant and brought back to life by electrokinetic power. On her 16th birthday, she escapes captivity and sets out to find her birth mother, leaving a trail of destruction behind her.
Reborn (2018) was directed by Julian Richards, also responsible for movies like Silent Cry (2002), The Last Horror Movie (2003), Shiver (2012), and Daddy’s Girl (2018) among others. Michael Mahin has been in charge of the screenplay. Besides Barbara Crampton, Michael Paré, Kayleigh Gilbert, Rae Dawn Chong, Chaz Bono, Monte Markham, Alexa Maris, and Bob Bancroft also star.
Reborn (2018) had an extensive international genre films festival run during the last 2 years, including London FrightFest Film Festival, Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre, Fantasporto, HorrorHound Film Festival, Night Visions International Film Festival, Fantaspoa, Toronto Indie Horror Film Festival, Fantasy Film Festival, FANtastic Horror Film Festival, and many others. After a limited theatrical release and being available on DVD, British Horror Channel has scheduled the movie to premiere in their platform for Saturday 22nd August at 9.00 PM local time.
