John Krasinski is probably better known by the audiences for his charismatic character Jim Halpert in the successful American version of The Office (2005–2013). But besides performing as one of the most loveable characters of the already classic TV show, as well as being one of the most interesting American comedians of the new century, Krasinski already has a run as TV and movies writer, producer and director. After directing some of the episodes from The Office (2005–2013) and a couple of inconsequential movie comedies, his newest project is taking a direction opposite to what he has done to date.
A Quiet Place (2018) is a horror thriller about a family who lives an isolated existence in utter silence, for fear of an unknown threat that follows and attacks at any sound. And after watching the first trailer, honestly it looks like one of the titles to have in ones orbit this year. The movie is currently in post-production, but Paramount Pictures has already confirmed that it will come out in April this year.
The movie is based on a story by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, who also sign the screenplay together with John Krasinski. Emily Blunt, child actors Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, and the director John Krasinski himself star this film that is expected to be some claustrophobic dark tale.
