"Psychokinesis", the new film by "Train To Busan"'s director, is already on Netflix

2016 was the year of Sang-ho Yeon. His movie Train to Busan (2016) was almost unanimously chosen the zombie flick of the year by all media and audience. The action rollercoaster in a zombie outbreak achieved a big amount of nominations and awards in a handful of festivals including Asian Film Awards, Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, Fantasia Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, Toronto After Dark Film Festival and Sitges Film Festival among others. Merely 2 years past and he has already a new movie out. His new work is entitled Psychokinesis (2018) (the original Korean title is “Yeom-lyeok”, in case someone is interested), and follows the events of Seok-hun, a bank security guard who gains superpowers one day after drinking water from a mountain spring affected by a meteor. He then sets out to protect his estranged daughter Roo-mi and her neighborhood from a construction company controlled by the mafia, using his recently-arrived superpower: the power of psychokinesis, moving objects with his mind. Nevertheless, in the process becomes a public superhero.

After its theatrical release in the South Korean territory early this year, the movie comes out now to the rest of the world by the hand of Netflix. The popular Video on Demand platform already had scheduled its addition to catalog and yesterday was the day it was finally available for all of its users.

The movie is written and directed by Sang-ho Yeon, and starred by Seung-ryong Ryu, Eun-kyung Shim, Jung-min Park, Yu-mi Jung, Yeong-gi Jeong, Do-yoon Kim and Min-jae Kim.You can watch the trailer of Psychokinesis (2018) in original Korean language with English subtitles here:
