Martial arts specialist and Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz has been called by some people “The next Vin Diesel“, although his stardom hasn’t reached that popularity by far. Still, he has been the star in some action flicks including The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005), Silencer (2018), Above the Shadows (2019), Robot Apocalypse (2021), and Hunting Games (2023).
His most recent upcoming movie is the action thriller Operation Black Ops (2023) centering on a group of mercenaries who are hired to overthrow a Neo-Nazi stronghold nestled deep in the heart of Texas, only to discover they are protecting nuclear codes that could ignite World War III.
This is the new movie from the writer, producer, and director Jamaal Burden after being behind the horror titles Elves (2017), Abominable (2020), and the segments ”Petrified Boy” and ”Krampus vs Elf” in the anthology Tales from the Other Side (2022).
Alongside Tito Ortiz, his fellow mixed martial artist Cris Cyborg is also starring in a cast that includes Rafael Cansino, Mike Ferguson, Mike Markoff, Alicia Gakima, Kelsey Johnson, and Paul Bikibili.
“Featuring high-velocity action sequences and plenty of bullets, Operation Black Ops (2023) will keep action audiences enthralled”, said Keith Leopard, President of Uncork’d Entertainment, the distributor of the movie. “If you love The Expendables movies, you’ll definitely want to check this one out when we release this summer”.
Operation Black Ops (2023) is out on digital and DVD on July 11, 2023. Watch its trailer here.
