I recently watched for the umpteenth time that little pearl that is M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs (2002) and I felt again how much I love those movies about extraterrestrials descending to the ground and coming for us. I think those are my most terrifying creatures in the horror genre, more than killer clowns, zombies, masked dudes, or ghosts. So, with open arms, I welcome the upcoming release of No One Will Save You (2023).
This horror and science-fiction thriller tells the story of an exiled anxiety-ridden homebody who must battle an alien who’s found its way into her home.
The main role in the movie is played by Kaitlyn Dever, a young actress named one of Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch who has been nominated for Best Actress in the Primetime Emmy Awards for her role of Betsy Mallum in the TV series Dopesick (2021) and also nominee for the EE Rising Star Award at the BAFTA Awards in 2022. Ginger Cressman, Dari Lynn Griffin, Zack Duhame, Elizabeth Kaluev, Geraldine Singer, and Lauren L. Murray also star in the film.
No One Will Save You (2023) is the new movie from Brian Duffield, a screenwriter known for The Divergent Series: Insurgent (2015), Jane Got a Gun (2015), The Babysitter (2017), Underwater (2020), Love and Monsters (2020), and being the creator of the animated adventure TV series Skull Island (2023–) who already debuted as a director with the horror comedy Spontaneous (2020).
Produced by 20th Century Studios and Star Thrower Entertainment, No One Will Save You (2023) is Rated PG-13 for violent content and terror. The official release date is September 22, 2023, by Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in the rest of the world.
