Nicole Kidman joins the cast for Aquaman

It is chaotic times for the DC Comics’s film universe. Ben Affleck has been plucking the daisy about directing The Batman, and now he seems to have decided to pass. All the voices say that Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2017), scheduled to come out this november, is not going to satisfy neither the audience or the box office demands. But the fans of the superhero brand can be happy because, at least in the last few days, all the hopes lay on Aquaman, expected to hit theatres the fall of 2018.

Besides the obvious presence of Jason Momoa playing the title character, and the confirmation of stars like Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe, this week we got notices that Nicole Kidman joins the cast as Atlanna, Aquaman’s mother. James Wan, a man who knows how to make profitable and entertaining blockbusters like The Conjuring, Insidious and SAW franchises, will be sitting at the director’s chair.

Filming starts next April and all the pre-production preparations are aparently going smooth. So while we wait for more news and official images, here we have James Wan’s twit:
