Nicolas Cage is a histrionic lord of darkness in "Sympathy for the Devil"

What a year for Nicolas Cage playing epic roles. If first he was Dracula in the funny and gory Renfield (2023) now he is playing the Devil himself in Sympathy for the Devil (2023).

The movie centers on a young man who after being forced to drive a mysterious passenger at gunpoint he finds himself in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse where it becomes clear that not everything is as it seems.

The poor man suffering the demonic and mysterious Nicolas Cage is played by Joel Kinnaman, who is known for playing the title role in the RoboCop (2014) remake and Rick Flag in Suicide Squad (2016). Kaiwi Lyman, Nancy Good, Cameron Lee Price, Burns Burns, Rich Hopkins, and Alexis Zollicoffer complete the main cast.

Sympathy for the Devil (2023) is directed by Yuval Adler, a filmmaker with experience in thriller films after having been behind Bethlehem (2013), The Operative (2019), and The Secrets We Keep (2020). Luke Paradise is the writer and executive producer of the movie.

RLJE Films has the distribution rights for the movie and has scheduled it for a digital and limited theatrical release on July 28, 2023.
