In one month the long-awaited The Predator (2018) is coming out. As many will know, the movie is a direct follow-up from the originals Predator (1987), starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Predator 2 (1990), starring Danny Glover. That means everybody who is expecting to see some Xenomorph in it should already start to get rid of that idea because the filmmakers have totally avoided the plotline presented in the films AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) and AVPR: Aliens vs Predator – Requiem (2007).
In this new entry of the horror and science-fiction saga, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race. In fact, the headline “the hunt has evolved” used on the poster for the movie has more sense than ever.
Shane Black has directed and co-writer together with Fred Dekker the movie. Yvonne Strahovski, Olivia Munn, Lochlyn Munro, Jacob Tremblay, Sterling K. Brown, Thomas Jane, Boyd Holbrook, Keegan-Michael Key, Edward James Olmos and Jake Busey star. The Predator (2018) comes out worldwide on the 13th of September. Watch the new TV spot here:
