After the release a couple of months ago of the first teaser for The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018), the follow up for the independent horror film The Strangers (2008), now we have in hands the second trailer with some more footage of the film. And, oh man, does it look interesting? If the original Bryan Bertino film was a fresh review of the home invasion subgenre with some drops of supernatural, in this sequel promises more intensity and baseness to the cocktail.
In Strangers: Prey at Night (2018), a family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive
Johannes Roberts, director of Darkhunters (2004), Storage 24 (2012) and 47 Meters Down (2017), is set to direct this sequel which script belongs to Ben Ketai based on an original screenplay by Bryan Bertino. The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018) is expected to hit USA theatres the 9th of March this year, followed by some other European release dates. Christina Hendricks, Bailee Madison, Martin Henderson, Lewis Pullman, Emma Bellomy, Damian Maffei, Lea Enslin, Preston Sadleir and Leah Roberts complete the main cast.
