New trailer for "The Prodigy", coming out the 8th of February

Horror fans have an appointment the next 8th of February with the theaters since the new movie by Nicholas McCarthy, The Prodigy (2019), is coming. The director that surprised the scene with the success of his small budget feature debut The Pact (2012) follows the trail of creepy dark horror he continued with At the Devil’s Door (2014). This time, it is a young mother who is concerned about her son’s strange acting and thinks something out of this reality may be affecting him.

In The Prodigy (2019), Sarah, the young mother, suspects that her son Miles’ disturbing behavior signals that an evil supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must choose between her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles and a desperate need to investigate what or who is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality becomes frighteningly blurry.

The Prodigy (2019) was written by Jeff Buhler, also the author of the screenplays for The Midnight Meat Train (2008) and the upcoming remakes Jacob’s Ladder(2019), Pet Sematary (2019) and Grudge (2019). Taylor Schilling, Brittany Allen, Jackson Robert Scott, Peter Mooney, Colm Feore, Olunike Adeliyi, Elisa Moolecherry, Paul Fauteux and Paula Boudreau are starring.
